What's New?
- 7/7/05: Psychiatric News, the Newspaper of the American Psychiatric Association, has a story about witnessing violence in its July 1 issue. Writer Joan Arehart-Treichel takes a look at a study which says just witnessing violence can lead to violent behavior in youngsters. Read more about the article in our Media Reviews section.
- 6/29/05: The American Psychiatric Association has responded to recent comments in the media by actor Tom Cruise. The Public Information section of our Links page lists the APA's press release. You can also read more in our Media Reviews. A new link has been added to HealthyMinds.Org's series of "Let's Talk Facts" brochures. Also, some updates have been made to our About Us page regarding officers.
- We've added a couple of mentions of interesting stories on our Media Reviews page: A New York Times interview in which Yankee third baseman Alex Rodriguez reveals his counseling experience,and a 60 Minutes Wednesday story on the Maryland Reentry Partnership to help convicts re-enter society. We've provide interesting links for further reading as well.

- 5/19/05: Jerome D. Frank M.D. Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at The Johns Hopkins University Medical School died on Monday March 14th. Dr. Frank was recognized worldwide for his extensive research on psychotherapy and group therapy. Read more details about his illustrious career here.
